## Current Job Opening: Electrical Technician
PTC is actively seeking a competent and dedicated Electrical Technician to join its dynamic workforce. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and safety of electrical systems within refinery environments.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Technician, your day-to-day duties will require precision, technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to workplace safety. Your primary responsibilities include:
* Executing comprehensive commissioning, start-up procedures, routine inspections, advanced troubleshooting, and preventive as well as corrective maintenance on diverse electrical equipment and systems within refinery environments.
* Conducting thorough assessments of the condition and operational functionality of electrical motors, electrical panels, Motor Control Centers (MCC), switchgear, transformers, cabling networks, lighting installations, grounding systems, and associated electrical apparatus.
* Executing maintenance tasks systematically in strict accordance with assigned work orders, structured maintenance schedules, and established standard operating procedures.
* Diagnosing and resolving electrical anomalies swiftly, accurately, and safely to minimize operational downtime.
* Identifying equipment abnormalities, performing detailed inspections, and formulating actionable recommendations for supervisors and engineers.
* Interpreting complex technical documentation, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, and comprehensive electrical schematics.
* Adhering rigorously to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Permit to Work (PTW) protocols, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA), and all Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) guidelines.
* Maintaining meticulous records and documentation regarding daily work execution, technical findings, diagnostic results, and ongoing equipment status updates.
Candidate Qualifications
To qualify for this technical role, applicants must meet the following baseline requirements:
* Nationality: Indonesian Citizen (WNI).
* Education: Minimum high school diploma or vocational school degree (SMA/SMK).
* Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on working experience in electrical equipment maintenance.
* Technical Competencies:
* Proficiency in coupling and uncoupling electric motor gearboxes.
* Expertise in operating specialized electrical measuring and testing instruments.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems rapidly, accurately, and securely.
* Advanced capability to read, interpret, and explain Single Line Diagrams and electrical drawings.
* Comprehensive foundational knowledge of diverse electrical equipment.
* Location: Current domicile in Balikpapan and surrounding areas is required.
